The GSM Base Tranceiver Station S8000 has been Manufacture Discontinued as of September 30th, 2007.

Nortel has evolved its GSM access portfolio to the BTS 6000, BTS 9000, and BTS 18000 which are highly reliable, cost efficient and technologically superior access solutions for operators.

All three BTS products operate at 850/1900 and 900/1800 MHz bands that are reserved for GSM worldwide. Nortel continues to innovate and regenerate our portfolio in support of our customers € quest for new applications, and services and to meet and drive growing end user demand, while balancing the need to leverage installed equipment.
